Over
the next few months, we heard not one word from Kevin.
Finally, he returned and came to the office.
When Lia and Lars asked him why he didn’t send the office 10%
of his pay, his reply was, “I didn’t know how much 10% was!”
When he left, we all had a good laugh.
As far as I know, Kevin never did give the office his 10%.
Another
person working for us was a female worker named Chantal.
She was an attractive blonde-haired woman, who came to us from
Los Angeles. She fell in
love with Hawaii, and decided to stay.
When I met her, she told me that she had 5 or 6 kids, from
various relationships, all living with their fathers, and had
originally come from Sweden. Chantal
figured we could work out together, and then practice wrestling.
She claimed she loved wrestling with men, because it was
sexually exciting. Hey,
who was I to argue with that?
I really liked her, but thought she was a little strange. During one of our conversations, Chantal told me that she loved the Samoan people. “I must have been Samoan in my past life”, she told me. She loved to party with the Samoan men, on the beach, and usually ended up sleeping in the sand, or on a picnic table. Lars didn’t like the fact that she slept on the beach. He claimed it was bad for the office. Lia liked her, so that was all that mattered. Like Kevin, Chantal was there, for us, whenever we needed a woman worker.
